Demi Lovato reflects rehab to fans
X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato reflected to her fans on New Year's Eve, writing about her experience of the New Year two years ago spent in rehab.
'Two years ago, I watched the ball drop [on New Year's Eve] on TV in rehab and cried my eyes out' the 20 year-old singer wrote to her fans on Twitter.
'Tonight I'm on the beach with my closest, most loyal friends sipping coffee and sharing how beautiful life is and how far we've come'.
Lovato was admitted to a rehabilitation facility in 2010 after suffering a breakdown while on tour with then-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his band The Jonas Brothers. The singer was released after undergoing treatment for self-harm, bipolar disorder and an eating disorder.
'Recovery is a beautiful thing friends.. Life is good, God is great!' the singer and actress also wrote.
Since leaving rehab, Lovato has landed a new career high with her judging role on the American reality series, alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, and Britney Spears.
The singer also advised her Twitter fans and followers, writing 'Everyone please be careful and smart tonight. NYE is about celebrating the past year and the year to come.. Set goals and dream big #2013.'
