Tonights X Factor USA was all about dedicating songs to loved ones and 15-year-oldDrew Ryniewicsknown simply as Drewchose to sing a little Demi Lovato to her best friend Shelby.

Shelbys been by Drews side since the two were in second grade and shes helped to pick the XF performer up when she was feel down. Drew says theyve gone through loser status together and to show her appreciation for her friend, she performed their song, Skyscraper.

Drews best friend forever clearly loved the performance but it surely had its criticsthe biggest being judge L.A. Reid. My comments this week, Im going to have to direct them to your mentor becauseagain, Im sorry, you know youre greatI take issue with the fact that you areyoure doing songs for people who are 40. Strange comments since the songs original performer is only 19 years old.

Amid a sea of boos from the audience, Drew chimed in with her own criticism of L.A.s vicious comments. This song actually means a lot to me no matter how old I am. No, because it goes out to every girl whos felt the way I felt and everyone needs a best friend and everyone needs someone like Shelby. And I dont think every girl or every guy knows that.

Simon Cowell also stood up for his girl, striking back at L.A. for what he feels were inaccurate comments. I am sick to death of your pointless, stupid criticisms, he said.
