Demi Lovato has addressed Cheryl Cole's comments regarding her MTV documentary Stay Strong, exclusively telling MTV News that she hopes to meet Chezza in the near future.
Last month, the Girls Aloud star took to Twitter to praise the 19-year old after watching Demi's hour long show, where the Disney star revealed her past problems with the eating disorder bulimia and self harm.
Cheryl tweeted: "@ddlovato I have just watched your Stay Strong doc and felt compelled to say I think you're so Strong, Brave and Beautiful inside and out...
"@ddlovato you really are an inspirational young woman and I admire you a lot #staystrong all my love, Cheryl Cole X"
When asked how she felt after receiving Cheryl's message of support, Lovato told us: "I thought that was so sweet, I was so shocked that she knew who I was so that was really cool.
"She is really, really sweet and she really didnt have to say what she said over Twitter, so it was really sweet. I hope I get to meet her someday."
Seeing as Cole is keen to become a household name Stateside after working on her third solo album in Los Angeles, Demi also claimed she believes Chezza can crack America.
The Skyscraper singer revealed: "I totally think that she can. I mean shes gorgeous and shes got a great voice and Im c! ompletel y jealous of her body. I think America likes to embrace a lot of UK artists such as Adele, Amy Winehouse and Corinne Bailey Rae."
"Also One Direction and The Wanted, so theyre really embracing a lot of British artists so I think that shes gonna have no problem breaking it. "
