Adam Lambert hosting 'VH1 Divas,' performers include Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato (Poll)

Adam Lambert is set to host the 2012 "VH1 Divas" which will feature performances from Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Jordin Sparks, as well as from the glam rocker himself.

The "VH1 Divas" dance party is set to celebrate current and classic dance music. This is the biggest hosting gig for Lambert, a self-proclaimed "sometimes diva" who is also an "American Idol" alum.

"VH1 Divas," which premieres live on Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET, is also set to pay homage to the late dance music legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summers. The current list of performers includes Lambert, Cyrus, Sparks, Lovato, Ciara and Kelly Rowland, while other talent will be announced next week, a VH1 spokesperson told OTRC.com on Monday.

As in previous years, the event benefits the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to keep music education alive in American public schools. VH1 released official cover art for the anticipated performance show on Monday (see above).
