Adam Lambert to host 'VH1 Divas,' Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato to perform

Adam Lambert is set to host the 2012 "VH1 Divas" which will feature performances from Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Jordin Sparks, among others.

The "VH1 Divas" dance party is set to celebrate current and classic dance music with Lambert, a self-proclaimed "sometimes diva," taking the stage as emcee. The show will include musical performances from artists Cyrus, Sparks, Lovato, Ciara and Kelly Rowland.

The event, which premieres live on Sunday, December 16, is also set to pay homage to the late dance music legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summers.

As in previous years, the event benefits the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to keep music education alive in American public schools.
