Demi Lovato, Blake Shelton added to State Fair Grandstand lineup
Singer/actress Demi Lovato and country/television star Blake Shelton are the latest additions to the Minnesota State Fair's Grandstand lineup.
Tickets for Lovato's Aug. 28 performance are $35 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, through Etix. Seats for Shelton's Aug. 25 show are $41 and $31 and will go on sale at noon Saturday, June 16.
Lovato, 19, landed her breakthrough role in the 2008 Disney Channel movie "Camp Rock," starring alongside the Jonas Brothers. She has also issued a series of albums for Disney's Hollywood Records label, scoring a series of radio hits including last year's platinum-selling "Skyscraper." Next up for Lovato is a seat at the judges' table next to Britney Spears in the upcoming second season of "The X Factor." Nashville popsters Hot Chelle Rae open for Lovato on the back of their hits "Tonight Tonight" and "I Like it Like That."
Shelton, 35, hit the top of the country charts more than a decade back with his debut single, "Austin." He has remained a constant on radio, with hits like "Some Beach," "Home," "All About Tonight," "Honey Bee" and "Drink on It." Last year, Shelton earned a whole new audience after appearing as a coach/mentor on NBC's "The Voice." His wife, Miranda Lambert, headlined the Target Center in April. Texas native Sunny Sweeney will open for Shelton.
The Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 23 through Sept. 3. One final Grandstand show will be announced in the coming weeks.
