Demi Lovato 'still haunted by bulimia and self-harming demons'

London, May 31 : Demi Lovato has revealed that she is fighting her demons of bulimia and self-harming as a daily battle.

The new 'X Factor' judge, who underwent therapy for anorexia, bulimia and a cutting disorder, said every day presents a challenge ! and that she often has to ask for help.

'It's a daily thing; you don't get time off from it,' the Daily Mail quoted her as telling Cosmopolitan magazine.

'And if I feel myself slipping back into old patterns, I have to ask others for help, which is hard for me to learn, because I really like doing everything on my own,' she said.

The 19-year-old former Disney favourite was admitted to a rehabilitation centre last year for bulimia and self harming.

She has also confessed to using cocaine to help her cope with the loneliness after coming off stage.

Lovato went into rehab after attacking a back up dancer on a Jonas Brothers tour she believed had tipped off organizers about her personal issues.

The singer said it was a relief when her self harming became public knowledge, as it led to her being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

'I felt relieved when I found out. Like I'm not completely crazy; there's a medical reason for all of it,' she added.

The singer also revealed she wants to follow in the footsteps of her fellow judge Britney Spears, and wants to be settled down with a family before she is 30.

'I want to be married with kids in 10 years,' she said.

Until then, Lovato is keeping an open mind on the men she dates until she finds Mr. Right. (ANI)
