Demi Lovato Says She Needs To 'Not Be In A Relationship For A While'

Songstress and "X Factor" judge Demi Lovato is giving her heart a break. For now, at least.

The 20-year-old appears on the cover of November's Teen Vogue, sporting a Mona Lisa smile and funky blue braid, while inside, she opens up about her love life and the "friend cleanse" she underwent following her time in rehab.

No Hollywood starlet can remain single for too long without the rumor mill dreaming up a relationship with an equally hot young thing, and of course, Demi is not immune to such speculation. When the mag inquired after her status with One Direction cutie Niall Horan, she made sure to set the record straightnamely, that she's not looking for love...with anyone.

"He's a really awesome, sweet guy. But he's not my boyfriend.... I'm in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself," Demi explained. "Obviously, I'm still going to like peopleor love thembut I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone, first. I'm really happy right now. I never thought it was possible to be happy because of how depressed I was my entire life. But I feel so incredible. It's like I'm living in a dream."
