X Factor USAs Demi Lovato Defends News Anchor Over Weight Jibes
WENNDemi Lovato is the latest celebrity to support news presenter Jennifer Livingston after she was forced to defend her weight against a critical viewer.
The 19-year-old, who sits alongside Simon Cowell, Britney Spears and LA Reid on the X Factor USA judging panel, has tweeted her support for the WKTB-TV presenter.
Last week, Livingston was sent a letter from Wisconsin-native Kenneth Krause who took exception to the news anchors size, and suggested that she took a poor example for young viewers.
She said: "The truth is, I am overweight. You can call me fat - and yes, even obese on a doctor's chart, but to the person who wrote me that letter, do you think I don't know that? That your cruel words are pointing out something that I don't see? You don't know me. You are not a friend of mine. You are not a part of my family ."
Following the note, Livingston decided to address viewers over the criticism, and found herself at the centre of headlines.
On Sunday (October 6) Demi tweeted a number of posts relating to Livingston: "Jennifer Livingston is a strong, beautiful and inspiring woman... Almost everything I stand for has been said by Jennifer Livingston in the video below... Please watch this and retweet."
