This Christmas, Demi Lovato paid tribute to the children lost in the Newton, Conn., shooting earlier this month.
In a video posted to YouTube on Christmas Eve, the X Factor judge sings "Angels Among Us" in a performance dedicated to the victims of Sandy Hook. In the clip, Lovato is accompanied by a guitar player and a piano player in a candle-lit studio.

"We can never imagine what the families in Newtown, Conn., are experiencing right now," says the video's opening message. "And while there is nothing we can do to replace their loss, we can stand together and support the! m during this difficult time. This song is in honor of those angels we lost on Dec. 14."
Lovato most recently performed her hit single "Give Your Heart a Break" on The X Factor season two finale alongside third place finishers Fifth Harmony. She also sang "Break" during a performance on VH1 Divas the same week.

While the video is a touching and appropriate tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting during an emotional time, could Lovato also be eyeing a holiday release of her own next year? We wouldn't be surprised, considering she also performed a cover of Mariah Carey's Christmas classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You" just days ago in the White House Special.
