Demi Lovato announces new single 'Heart Attack' - video

Demi Lovato has confirmed the title and release date of her new single.

The singer will release 'Heart Attack' on March 4 as the lead cut from her upcoming fourth album, which has yet to receive a title.

The accompanying artwork sees Lovato peering from the side of a white wall, with her hair up and pushed forward into a choppy fringe.

"For a while I could tell that when people would talk to me they knew my story," Lovato explains in the trailer. "I think I've opened up more on this album.

"My life began to evolve and I started to grow. These are songs about the celebration of life and how rewarding it can be. This is what this album is about."

Lovato's new album will serve as the follow-up to 2011's Unbroken, which reached number four on the US Billboard 200 chart.
