Demi Lovato opens up about her new single 'Heart Attack'

Former Disney star Demi Lovato recently announced that the first single off of her 2013 album will be called "Heart Attack," giving fans the first listen on Monday.

Lovato spoke to Ryan Seacrest on-air Tuesday and revealed what the song is about. "Sometimes it's so much harder to get hurt than it is letting your wall down and falling in love. It's about] other situations where I felt abandoned in my life and when you open up your heart to somebody, it's a risk. And this song is about taking that risk," reports MTV News.

However, the 20-year old stayed quiet when asked about her Valentine's Day plans. I open up so much to my fans with my personal life that some things have to stay sacred, reports RyanSeacrest.com.

She did reveal that although her career accounts for the majority of her time, she is open to romance and marriage. "Absolutely it just depends on when my life is ready," she told MTV. "I don't know if I could wait that long if I find someone."
