Demi Lovato talks new single Heart Attack

Demi Lovato reveals that her single Heart Attack, due out March 4, will be both fashion and performance-based, and unlike anything anyone has seen or heard from her before.

In an interview with MTV News, 20-year-old Lovato explained that it was wonderful to be able to blend her fashion and music into one epic video, Heart Attack, the first single off her untitled album.

This time around, she describes her style as rocker chic yet sophisticated.

However, some aspects- like Demis vibrant personality- never change.

I really just like to rock out, especially in music videos when I can just have so many times where I can perform, Lovato commented.

The topic of Demis latest track? A nerve-wracking subject she has finally felt comfortable to open up about: love.

Lovato said, The title is just about falling in love and taking that risk. I think everyone comes to a point where they feel vulnerable in falling in love.

Her new music marks a distinct shift in her mentality. After struggling with bulimia and self-harming in rehab, Demi is ready to date again, and has vowed to be a less needy girlfriend, reports Contact Music.

It is very unhealthy when girls devote all of their time to a guy and forget their friends and family. I did that. I was always looking for distractions because I was so afraid of being alone, Lovato began, mentioning that she spent the past year focusing on herself. I'm in a place where I can finally trust and love and be a better person for the man I'm in a relationship with, ! instead of being a clingy girlfriend or getting jealous.

Here is a teaser for her single, Heartbreaker, expected to be released on March 4.
