Kelly Clarkson to record duet with Demi Lovato

Kelly Clarkson has confirmed that she will be hitting the studio to record a duet with Demi Lovato.

The collaboration came about after the two singers performed together on stage at the Z100's Jingle Ball 2011 concert last Friday (December 9).

Clarkson told Just Jared: "It's a song a friend of mine wrote. It's killer and I've been wanting to sing it for a while. It's very like urban, pop/rock, and we both like that.

"It's my normal anthem, shove it in your face [type of song]."

After Clarkson performed with Lovato at Jingle Ball, the American Idol winner praised Lovato on Twitter.

"Girl we have got to sing together again! You have such a powerful and beautiful voice! I love your spirit. Thanks for singing with me tonight," Clarkson wrote.

Clarkson, who is nominated for a Grammy for 'Best Country Duo/Group Performance', recently debuted a studio version of her live cover of 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' to be released digitally.
