Demi Lovato Opens Up About Simon Cowell: 'He's Not My Type'
One could argue that Demi Lovato is one of the busiest starlets in the business. The 19-year old is currently spending her summer on the road for her tour, which wraps in September, just in time for her to make her big "X Factor" debut on September 12.
Having recently wrapped up audition rounds with fellow judges Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, it seems that Lovato may have made a new best friend in Britney.
"She's amazing and I'm having so much fun with her," Lovato said during an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday (July 18). "You know, we obviously have both been through a lot so I think that we kind of just get each other a little bit."
So what is Britney like in the judge's seat? "We're still getting to know each other of course, but she's just so much fun to work with, she's really genuine and she's kind of shy sometimes when the audience cheers for her. I think it's really sweet that she's so humble, but she's also really, really funny on the show."
Lovato also took the time to clear up some rumors about Cowell. The two reportedly have great chemistry on the show, and some are going as far to say that Lovato may have developed a small crush on the British judge.
"Oh my god. I don't know where you heard that from. That's ridiculous," Lovato said. "I mean, he's a nice looking fellow and I know that the older ladies love him, he's not my type. We have a lot of fun together and you know, deep down he's a really cool guy."
Lovato also revealed to Seacrest that she has already begun working on her next album, but is uncertain of its release.
"I'm in the process of writing my fourth album," Demi says. "I haven't come up with a l! ot yet. I'm still experimenting with what direction I want to go in right now. So, I don't know if 'Shut Up and Love Me' is gonna make it, hopefully it will. I want it to be released at some point in my life, but I'm really, really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that once everything slows down a little bit."
Looks like fans will have to wait a little while before things slow down, as Lovato will be co-hosting this Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, along with "Glee" star Kevin McHale.
"I'm super excited," Lovato said. "I'm a little nervous because I am a little new to hosting and I have one day of rehearsal and then I do it the next day. So, I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm excited."
