Demi Lovato To Host Teen Choice Awards

Demi Lovato's summer just got a little bit busier. In addition to headlining a hot summer tour and traveling the country in support of her duties as an "X Factor" judge, the singer just added another job to the list. She will host the Teen Choice Awards later this month.

The Teen Choice Awards will take place on July 22. Entertainment Weekly was first to announce Lovato's hosting gig, which comes less than two months before the newly revamped "X Factor" kicks off on Fox, the same network that will broadcast the TCAs. In addition to Lovato, the awards show will feature appearances from the likes of "So You Think You Can Dance" host Cat Deeley and performances by Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida and No Doubt.

Lovato and Bieber will face off in one category, Choice Twit, where they also find competition from Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon and Ryan Seacrest. Bieber just so happens to be one of the big nominees of the night. He has five nominations at the show, including Choice Male Hottie, Choice Single by a Male Artist and Choice Male Artist.

While Bieber is up for a number of surfboards at the Teen Choice Awards, a show, not a person, earned even more nods than he did. "The Vampire Diaries" is up for six awards, including Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi nods (both Ian Somerhalde! r and Pa ul Wesley) and Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi (both Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham). Somerhalder is also going up against Bieber for Choice Male Hottie.
