Next, backcomb hair through the front hairline and crown to create volume, section out some tendrils around the face and smooth and sweep the rest of the hair back into a ponytail at the middle of the back of the head. Then, take once-inch sections from the ponytail, smooth, twist, wrap and pin in place using u-shaped hair pins.

When positioning portions of the ponytail, try to create as much volume and take up as much space as possible. The finished look should appear like a large mass of dense curls. Once all the hair from the ponytail has been secured, mist the 'do with a generous amount of hairspray.
