Reports had been published last week that Demi Lovato had checked into a Malibu treatment center for substance abuse issues.

The report, by Blind Gossip, said that Lovato checked herself into an in-patient treatment program to help her with her addiction to drugs, particular cocaine.

Although earlier this week Lovato told her Twitter followers that she would be taking a break from the social media site, telling them "Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!", MTV News reports that she is not seeking help in a treatment center for these issues.

On Wednesday, a rep for the Skyscraper singer said, "Demi's team confirmed it's untrue."

Lovato famously entered a treatment center in October 2010, where she sought help for eating disorders and cutting. She has since been very active in speaking out about her recovery, even revisting the Timberline Knolls Center, where she received treatment.

She said of talking to patients at the facility, "To be able to share my story and let them know that it gets easier ... Life is beautiful ... you are worthy of it," adding, "Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self-harm, mood disorders and substance abuse."
