Britney Spears: 'Demi Lovato Is Cooler Than Me'

Britney Spears has declared that she thinks her fellow The X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato is "cooler" than her.

Giving an interview to TV Guide, Britters was singing Demi's praises.

"She's a very good judge. She toughens me up! Sometimes I listen to [her] and I'm like, 'Oh, God, I've got to be a little stronger'," she said.

"Even though she's really young, she has such a sophistication about her. She's cooler than me."

And Demi was quick to repay the compliment, saying: "I've said from day one, when [Britney] stepped on set, how funny she is. I don't think a lot of people have gotten to see her personality and her sense of humour."

Britney, 30, also revealed that she was offered the job after a casual comment to a make-up artist who knew Simon Cowell.

She explained: "[Simon] was absolutely adorable on the phone, and he is so sweet. My make-up artist used to do his make-up, and we were joking around about me doing it.

"So I guess it was one of those meant to be things."

Si-Co was also in on the interview, and was keen to pay tribute to his two new lady judges.

He said: "It's quite difficult sometimes when you've got singers judging other singers, because they can be selfish.

"And I've watched this very carefully; these two want to find a star."
