Niall Horan denies Demi Lovato romance

We thought it was hard enough keeping track of how many women charming One Direction star Harry Styles was going out with from week to week.

Then comes along the revelation that Niall Horan, the only other single member of the band - has said that nothing went on between him and X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato. The pair were linked in June, but weren't seen out in public together, and there's a reason for it - Niall says they never went out!

Not that they never went out on dates to e.g. the cinema or e.g. a nice candlelit dinner. They never actually met!

He said: "Me and Demi, we're just really good friends. She's been doing well. She's been updating me on what she's been doing and stuff, and hopefully I will get to see her next week when we come to LA for the VMAs."

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM, he dropped a clanger when he confessed that he has never even met Demi! "We actually haven't met yet, but hopefully I'll get to see her next week."

Another Disney star, Debby Ryan, recently said that she isn't going out with Niall, too. She also told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: "I actually don't know much about him other than that he's in that band."

Ooof. Maybe Niall doesn't know who you are, either, Debby! We don't!
