One Direction Romance? Niall Horan To Meet Up With Demi Lovato Next Week

Just a few months ago we were all talking about whether Niall Horan and Demi Lovato were going to get together after they had 'several Skype dates', but now the One Direction star has claimed that he's never actually met Demi but hopes to next week.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' hitmaker was first linked to Demi in June, but she later revealed that the pair are just good friends. (We've heard that before!)

But in perhaps a baffling revelation, Niall has claimed that the pair haven't even met in real life during a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest.

In the interview he said: "Me and Demi, we're just really good friends. She's been doing well. She's been updating me on what she's been doing and stuff, and hopefully I will get to see her next week when we come to LA for the VMAs."

He also added: "We actually haven't met yet, but hopefully I'll get to see her next week."

In June, Demi slammed reports that she was dating Niall, as she said: "He's really sweet and he's one of my really good friends now. But I'm single at the ! moment and I plan to be for a long time because I need to focus on my career, myself and my wellbeing."

So what was Niall doing hanging around with Demi's little sister?

Niall has been linked to a number of ladies recently after he was seen partying with Alexandra Burke and Caroline Flack at V Festival, and more recently Disney star Debby Ryan.

She had to deny reports that they were secretly dating, as she said: "I actually don't know much about him other than that he's in that band."

Even though it seems that a lot of people want to know about Niall's love life, it sounds as if he's a busy boy as One Direction have confirmed that their new album Take Me Home is set for release in November. That's only three months away...

So what's the verdict on Demi and Niall or Nemi as they became known? Destined for love?
