Demi Lovato is 'cooler' than Britney Spears

If you think animosity exists between X-Factor judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, think again.

In TV Guide's interview with the shows judges Spears and Lovato are like a pair of old high school friends.

When asked what she thought about the 20-year-old former Disney star, Spears said, toughens me up! Sometimes I listen to [her] and Im like, Oh, God, Ive got to be a little strongerShes cooler than me.

Lovato has a seemingly similar attitude towards the queen of pop.

MTV News caught with Lovato and asked for some insight into working with a uber-successful pop icon.

There are more times I relate with Britney [better] than Simon, actually. Maybe because were the two girls on the show, she said.

Since The X-Factors Simon Cowell revamped the shows judging panel to portray a more youthful image, American Idol producers have been scrambling to compete.

Mariah Carey is the only confirmed American Idol judge with Nicki Minaj a possible second.
