Demi Lovato Turns 20

Singer and actress Demi Lovato turned 20 on Monday and recieved a slew of tweets and well wishes from fans and friends alike.

Lovatos career is certainly at a high, similar to her popular single, Skyscraper. With a successful third album, Unbroken, and a sitting judge on the X Factor, Lovato has made an incredible comeback since being hospitalized for depression, bulimia and self-mutilation.

Since then, she has become a role model for young girls everywhere. According to The Huffington Post, she demonstrated in an interview, saying:

you have to work every day, you have to fight every day. Its really important to get the message out there that if you do slip up, its OK, because you are human.

The stars struggles have been very public, but she has used them to show others suffering from similar problems that you can always come back even stronger the next day. She went on to say:

Just try, and try harder next time.

Kim Kardashian, 31, posted an Instagram photo to her Twitter account of both her and Lovato blowing kisses with the accompanying message:

Happy 20th Birthday DemDem!!!! I love you @ddlovato.

Fellow former Disney star, Miley Cyrus also sent a happy birthday tweet to Lovato.

@ddlovato happy birthday beautiful. Im sending you lots of xs not wasting time on os =] have the best day everrrr xxxx, the singer wrote.

The X Factors Twitter account also sent happy birthday messages to the shows judge. Fellow X Factor judge, Simon Cowell also tweeted:
