Nick Jonas 'joining Demi Lovato at X Factor USA Judges' Houses'

Nick Jonas will make a guest appearance during the X Factor USA audition stage, it has been reported.

The singer and actor will join new X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato during the Judges' Houses stage of the competition, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jonas has confirmed that he is in contention for the judging vacancy on American Idol, which is due to return to Fox next spring.

He said that it would be a "a dream come true" to join the programme.

Last year's guests at Judges' Houses on The X Factor USA included Rihanna and Enrique Iglesias.

The X Factor USA's second season will premiere across two nights on September 12 and 13 on Fox. UK transmission details are yet to be confirmed.
