Demi Lovato is NOT dating One Directions Niall Horan

Despite rumors, there is no new guy in Demi Lovatos life.

Demi and One Directions Niall Horan ignited rumors when they hung out after the VMAs last week. Many media outlets labeled their hang out a date. Lovato, though says that wasnt the case.

"There is nothing going on. Niall's my friend," she told E! Online. He's a good friend of mine."

The 20-year-old Give Your Heart a Break singer echoed a similar statement when Access Hollywood caught up with her.

Niall and I are just friends. All we did was get some food, she explained of their post-VMA date. Somehow everyone thinks were dating. Its so weird this whole celebrity thing.

Demi has tried to put romance rumors to rest countless times. Just last month, she said she plans on staying single for a long time and no man could change her mind.

Theres actually nothing that a guy can do to change my mind right now. It doesnt matter how frickin' good-looking you are, or funny, or how in love with them I am, she toldiVillage. Right now, theres nobody more important to me than myself and my recovery.
