After her spell in rehab, Disney star Demi Lovato is believed to have put her crazy ways behind her - but she shocked the X Factor team when she spat into Simon Cowell's hand.

According to the Mail Online, a surprised Simon said "really, really, grow up Demi. You're an obnoxious little brat."

Demi laughed - despite consternation from the rest of the team.

One person who doesn't think Demi is a brat is One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan. The pair have had an ongoing Twitter flirtation over the last few months and are believed to have hooked up for a date after Friday's VMAs.

She won the award for Best Video With A Message for 'Skyscraper'.

The US X Factor has its red carpet premiere on September 11. We hope Simon and Demi have patched up their differences by then, otherwise things could get a little awkward.
