X Factor: Cheryl Coles a dormouse compared to Demi Lovato

Sorry Cheryl Cole, it seems Simon Cowell has a new pet fellow US X Factor judge Demi Lovato.

As the updated version of Cowells unofficial biography, Sweet Revenge, is released we spoke to the books author Tom Bower.

He gave us all the juicy details on Britney Spears struggles as a US X Factor judge, but what about Demi Lovato?

Tom, who saw some of the auditions first hand, said: Shes amazing. She is sensational and she gives him a good run for his money. She really is so sparky.

Sounds very similar to the relationship Simon had with his former best buddy Cheryl, no?

No, shes infinitely more Cheryls a dormouse compared to Demi, said Tom.

Demi is really, such an unbelievable tornado. Very funny, very charming. He loves it. She gives as good as she gets. And often beats him. Leaves him completely open-mouthed.

The first edition of the book told how Simon would have liked an affair with Cheryl and how he became mesmerised by her during her visits to his dressing room.

She would come in dressed in her tracksuit and slippers, drop her eyes and play the soulful victim to get around me, Cowell said. She played me. When she walked over, I felt I was the mouse with a beautiful cat. I adored her. And as she got her own way, it drove Louis Walsh mad. [Walsh said,] 'These girls are actresses. They'll get you to do what they want'.
