Tuned In: Demi Lovato Shames a Tabloid Over Their Kate Middleton Pregnancy Story
Though she once used her Twitter account to issue thinly veiled threats at her ex Wilmer Valderrama, Demi Lovato is now the poster child for professional conduct on social media. In the past few months the performer has backed away from commenting on her personal life, instead offering mostly publicist-approved nuggets of glitter-coated wisdom here and there. But that doesn't mean she's shied away from voicing her opinion particularly when it comes to unhealthy representations of body image in the media.
Lovato, who has been in recovery for an eating disorder since early 2011, tweeted late Monday evening, "So apparently Kate Middleton (William?) is pregnant because of THIS picture... Are you KIDDING ME?!!"
The young singer added, "And people wonder why girls/guys have body image issues.. Whether she is or not, she still has a beautiful body. Shame on you Star magazine."
In December 2011 Lovato railed against her former employer when she spotted an insensitive eating disorder joke on Disney's Shake It Up. She tweeted, "I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke aboutthat very disease.....nice."
Disney then pulled the joke.
The clean real estate on Chris Brown's body is dwindling down to nothing as he continues to collect tattoos. People are making a fuss over his latest, a depiction of a sexy mad-eyed lady face on his neck, because it supposedly resembles his former flame Rihanna.
But it doesn't, really. It looks like Jem or one of her Holograms gone evil.
This week's painful conversation to watch on OWN: Jennifer Hudson sat with Oprah Winfrey to discuss the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew on Oprah's Next Chapter, which aired Sunday. The Oscar-winning performer says she's moving towards forgiveness for their killer, William Balfour.
"For the most part, it's not his fault," Hudson insisted to Oprah. "It's what he was taught, how he was brought up."
Rapper Gucci Mane has been ordered to pay about $60,000 to a woman he shoved out of a moving car. Diana Graham told authorities the man who made the brilliant decision to ink ice cream cones on his face pushed her out of a moving Hummer in 2011 after she refused to go up to a hotel room with him. Gucci didn't even show up in court.
Start holding your breath, Avril Lavigne Superfan: That Chad Kroeger-assisted album is on its way. Record mogul L.A. Reid told Billboard that Lavigne recently completed work on "a really good record," which should be i! n stores by early 2013 at the latest.
Nicki Minaj announced plans to release a new single this week in support of The Re Up, the re-release she has planned for November. There aren't any hard deets but Jenna Von Oy gets a shout out, sort of:
