Britney and Demi reveal what it's like to work with Simon

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato joined L.A Reid and Simon Cowell at the judges table this season on The X Factor. Fans will get to see Britney and Demi in action when the show premieres September 12, but Simon Cowell is revealing what to expect from the new superstar judges and why he wanted them on the show.

Simon and 20-year-old Demi Lovato have a playful relationship on the show and often bicker with each other. Simon says Demi is a brat but he thought she was very likeable as well.

[Demi] is a brat, he said. "But there's something really likeable about her."

When it comes to Britney Spears, 30, Simon says he always wanted her on the show.

As for Britney, I've always said she's the number one person I've wanted on one of these shows. I thought it would be interesting to have her on the show, he said, adding that fans can expect to see a different side to the pop star.

"You see another side of her - Britney's quite mean, which you'll discover!" he said.

As it turns out, Simon isnt the only one spilling secrets about his fellow judges. According to E! News, Demi, L.A. and Britney have a few things to say about Simon as well.

"I had no idea what to expect to work with Simon," Spears admitted. "I just knew he had a reputation for being a little...blunt."

Britney, though, respects his honesty.

"He's adorable, and actually, I really respect that he says wh! at he thinks and doesn't really care what everybody else thinks."

L.A. Reid has already worked with Simon on the X Factor and is the one guy I really look up to in the business. As a newbie, though, Demi Lovato was a little intimidated.

"I was totally afraid of him. He's so witty, he's hilarious, but he also can be pretty harsh," she said. "I was really, really nervous about working with him and then I got on set and it's basically been so much fun. We banter back and forth and we have fun all day."
